Our first solo 'ninja camp' this year and an excuse to test run some new shinies! :headbang:

These included the titanium Yukon stove, Eydon Poppin kettle and DD XL tarp!

Total kit including 8 litres of water and food (loads of chicken, Chinese instant noodles and sausages) came to approximately 30kg which was split between us. The stars of the show were most definitely the firebox, kettle and Uco candle lantern that we bought a couple of years ago.

Highlander Forces 65l pack
Osprey Kestrel 48 pack
DD XL tarp
Groundsheet
Alpkit Dirtbag mat
Alpkit Base 180 mat
Alpkit Skyehigh 600 sleeping bags (x2)
Alpkit Hunka bivy bag (x2)
Ti Yukon firebox
Eydon Poppin kettle
Alpkit Gamma headtorch (x2)
Uco candle lantern
medium Aluminium billy can + lid
MSR bowl (x2)
Lifeventure Ti cutlery set (x2)
Lifeventure Ti mug (x2)
Mountain King Expedition Carbon poles
Mora Clipper knife (x2)
Bahco Laplander folding saw
4l Liquitainer (x2)
Paracord
Fire lit (lighter, flint & steel, tinder, eco firelighters)
Brew kit (lots of teabags, squeezy condensed milk, hot chocolate etc)
Shewee (!)

Things we learnt:
1) we need lighter footwear - heavy boots + hills are not a good combination!
2) camo tarp would have been better for blending into the scenery, although the only passers by we saw had lost their way.

Sleeping arrangement - this was later adjusted as the wind changed direction...

Playing with the Poppin kettle for Pinky's brew!

And again (note: Pinky would have intravenous tea if possible), using the Yukon's fire

Lunch! - Yukon definitely needs a bigger and more stable grill so going to recommission one of my grill trays :D

Might make sense when on stealth camps to get Pinky a camo beanie... flourescent pink hair sticks out a bit more than a dark green tarp  :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Hehe, he usually has his hoodie up so it is less of an issue, but have just ordered him a camo fleece buff.

Mick, we were stealth camping and it was pretty cold. Drizzled a bit later in the evening somhad to get the wood under cover. Lantern is good. We have the deflector but didnt use it this time as we had it on the floor and the deflector is most useful when it is hanging.

We also found it really useful to use the yukon top plate as a reflector by standing it up behind the stove when not in use. That made a considerable difference!

Not too bad - pretty light and good capacity. They roll up really small when empty as well.
Unsurprisingly they don't like being strapped to the outside of a pack (!), but otherwise they are fine.
It's nice that they will stand by themselves when full, unlike platypus bags, and the 4L version have taps, so good hanging from trees etc. :)

They look like bladders made by Source? I've got one too, good kit there.
