Well, it doesn't smell of anything

If you want to keep spirits in it, don't worry, give it a good hot wash and forget it - nothing much lives in 40% abv.

For water just put an egg cup of plain unscented bleach in a bucket of water and pour it in. Leave it in for half an hour and rinse well three times.

Then allow to dry, fill with alcohol, drain and drink, repeat often.
