A new arena in the alps - overnight with Beltpack & UL Bedroll

Hey guys,

Yeah long time no post. A new posting and many new projects and very little time to film but that all changed last weekend.

We have been exploring a whole new area of our mountain and discovered a brilliant limestone canyon in the valley between two of the main peaks.

Went out there just with minimal gear. A beltpack, an UL bedroll and a hunting umbrella.

Hope you like it.

Thanks for having me.

Nice. I love the idea of being able to just take a bed roll and hit the hills. Alas, I sleep cold so a single blanket is not going to be warm enough for me.

What tarp was your friend using?

You could always take a thin woobie/poncho style insulation.
Or bring a puffy vest or even puffy jacket.
Also you can bring another Merino layer in 400 weight or so.
Wrap a shemagh around your waist and tuck it into your waistband.
Wear a hat to bed
Eat properly before sleeping - with plenty of fat

This way you are warm at camp AND warm in bed.

(I have a Hill People Mountain Serape that I sometimes take instead of the blankie. Awesome thing.)

Just really hate carrying stuff that only serves one purpose.

Ally had a Miltec 3x3 Tarp in Flecktarn. German Military camo.
