Just finished this one.

The blade is by Aly and is 3mm thick O1. Blade length is 67mm and overall 156mm.

The handle is Laburnum with red liners.

You don't see laburnum used too often, which is a shame.

Two updates on this as I forgot to post about the sheath when I first made it. :D

21/3/2010:

Well, the missus is out for the evening and the lad is in bed so I took advantage of the (eventual) quiet to knock a sheath up for the Aly blade I handled in Laburnum.

I've left it undyed as I'm going to try a Vinegaroon dip.

First time for everything! :D

Today

Well, I got bored of waiting for the wire wool to dissolve in the vinegar. I suspect it was taking so long because I used White Wine vinegar - it's just what I had!

I did a quick test on some leather and it coloured up a bit so I thought what the heck and gave the sheath a good soaking.

I'll take better pictures tomorrow but I'm happy with the result!

Beautiful knife!
A nice size too, being a lady with little hands a lot of knives are just too cumbersome!
This looks a nice compact size.

Hey Stew. Just a note on the thread to say the pics don't do this knife justice. What an awesome bit of kit and Jules is over the moon with it..... Thanks mate :D
