Your very own late Douglas Adams went on an expedition to document these critters, among other things. "Last Chance to See" is the name of the book, if you ever get a chance to read it I recommend it.

Yeah, a very good book, I bought a copy of it years ago and with Douglas Adams descriptive powers and humour it is a book that brings a smile to your face despite covering quite a serious subject.

It's called an Aye-aye! hehe

The Aye-aye (Daubentonia madagascariensis) is a strepsirrhine native to Madagascar that combines rodent-like teeth with a long, thin middle finger to fill the same ecological niche as a woodpecker. It is the world's largest nocturnal primate, and is characterized by its unique method of finding food; it taps on trees to find grubs, then gnaws holes in the wood and inserts its elongated middle finger to pull the grubs out.

Looks like some sort of weird movie charater, like a gremlin...

What a lovely little fella -- LOADS of questions-- Do they take a lot of looking after -- do they live as couples or in a group or solitry-- they look like they dont mind being handeled- what is it- what do they eat-- where do they come from

id say they came from madagascar!!!
