Still not a huge amount of boletes around at the moment. Found a few small bay boletes, and some rather old ceps, but also came home with loads of oyster mushrooms, deceivers, velvet shanks and milk caps.

Are they blewitts or cortinarius ? Thought I had hit upon a large patch of blewitts a couple of years ago but the lack of a fruity perfumed smell made me double check and turned out to be the rather less pleasant cortinarius of some sort :(

Cheers, Paul

My lunchtime snack today was Shaggy Parasols on Toast. Yum! And whist I was foraging I met the owner of the wood who's really a nice chap and it looks like we've agreed my access to his wood for a bit of bushcraft, foraging and badger watching in return for some help with woodland maintenance. Now that's what I call a good morning! :)
