Always nice to see what others have been up to , when they have been out and about (never jealous , of course!) nothing to do with the fact that , one more sleep and i will be back out there (15 hours !) anyway great pics , looks a lovely spot and thankyou for posting .

Said it before , but i must be less selfish , get off my bum and make the effort to take pics and post them .

Thanks

Ivan...

Cheers Shippers! Sam the bacon should take around 10 to 40 minuets depending on ambient temp, breeze, state of fire, thickness of bacon, it was ony up high while the fire was in flame once it calmed down we dropped the bar to rest on the logs nearer the embers:D

I am banning sadness and Hammocks from my future Camping adventures, my flat bread mix is as follows

two size ten glove handfulls of plain flour,

a pinch of baking soda

a pinch of salt

half a handful of sugar

one small nalgene travel bottle of uht semi skimmed milk(this will be swapped out for milk powder and egg powder)

empty all but a table spoonful of the flour into your billy plate(same size as the 16cm billy I used this time as I have misplaced my 12 cm billy:() add half the milk, using a spoon mix in the milk, the add the rest of the milk and repeat mix, till its holding together as a wet dough, then add the remaining flour a little at a time till you can pick up the dough with out it sticking to your hands, dust the inside of your pan\billy lid and cook and flip it till it sounds hollow when you flick it, eat and be merry! you can add what you like to the dough,

Here Some jack by the hedge I found today, the stuff up near the woods isn't as large as this, but then this isn't as large as the second clump I found round the back of the motor club garage! real day of the triffids style!
