Looking very nice, I'm planning on making something similar for my nephew when he marries his fiance who's Mum's Scottish, a pair of bowls and spoons and a spurtle. If they end up looking as near as good as yours I will be a happy bunny.:)

Appetizing. One thing I see is the insulating value of wood when compared with cold stone pottery and a metal spoon.
Very nicely designed, both the bowl and the spoon. The wings on the bowl are so much like the Pacific Northwest coast native feast bowls.

Hi Robson
The insulating value is great keeps the porridge hot until the last spoonful
You can also cup the bowl in the palm of your hand and then hook your thumb around the edge /wing
The bowl also tapers in towards the top which also helps keep the heat in.
Thanks
Gary
