A burr cherry kuksa.

Sorry guys, but I just can't get away from carving these. Bit of burr cherry sitting for a while and I decided it needed carved. Pity I can't take good pics, maybe natural light would have been better.







Just the usual axe, hook knife, sloyd, angle grinder with chainsaw disc!! thanks for looking.

I have a bottle of distillers edition Royal Lochnagar waiting for it but it will be a large dram going in!!!

What would you use to treat/seal kuksa's, bowls or spoons? If anything?

It's in a plastic bag with walnut oil (Asda/Tesco) as it's food safe and smells nice. Then a slow dry in the garage.

That is a thing of beauty mate. Have a birch burl in the backyard I have been meaning to work on for ages. How long did it take btw and did you use sandpaper at all?
