This cleaver is made in China, and it is brand new.
It has cool looking Chinese letters on the blade, but real beaut is the blade being razor sharp, and great balance in hand.
Full tang - one piece of steel.

How thick is it at the spine?

4mm spine. Weight is about 400 g.

Had to recheck the weight - it is 400g. Very comfy.
600 - 700g packed weight.
