A roughly forged letter opener that I made as a present for a relative.

The blade was forged (well heated up and roughly bashed) from a silver steel rod, using a simple fire cement lined can gas forge. My efforts to make a charcoal forge were not very successful, so for now I will stick to my gas forge.
The handle is turned from walnut, with brass and antler fittings.
Thanks for looking.
