I just thought that I’d share a few pictures of my walk in the snow the other day.

This is the back garden shortly before I set off

they’d been making snow bricks too, I like this idea.

a great walk in the snow, I walked about 7miles(ish) in about just under 4 hours, which I thought was pretty good considering the snow was thigh deep in places, very tiring but good fun.

Thanks for looking

I wish we had had snow that deep, it was an inch at most here and all gone now and it's raining. Great pics.

thanks for the post thats the neatest quinze ive seen this year

gemma says thank you for the compliment, it wan't quite big enough to lay down in (limited by the size of the garden) but she did sit in it and have a beer. i think the photo's i've put up were taken after it had sat out in the snow all night, if see where the fresh snow on the top has been squashed down that's where someone fell on it quite hard, it wasn't damaged at all. i'm really impressed, i've never tried building one of these things, yet again SWMBO has put my "bushcraft" to shame with her "messing about".

thanks for the comments chaps.

Nice one Stu

We had a load here too but the rain today has cleared most of it now.

A pal at work comes from Bolsover and it took him and his neighbours two days to dig up to the main road.

we only had about an hour of rain here, it's got rid of maybe an inch of snow, not made much of a difference to be honest.

quite a bit of the route i walked was through bolsover district, i imagine that they had it pretty bad up there, bad roads in and out of bolsover town in the snow.

cheers
