After a little bit of a facepalm moment on my behalf (reading 14" as 4") I have ground up this. Its 440C or 410 I'll have to check the billet invoice. Blade is true scandi ground at the moment but might become saber depending on what the lad wants. Polished up to 5000 grit then with tcut. Bolster is a high copper bronze instead of the usual brass, little bit more forgiving to work and harder wearing with but just doesn't come up with the same lustre as brass. Handle is ethically sourced red mahogany full tang and internally pinned. Ready to drill the lanyard hole and make it a new jacket.
It's not my usual style but enjoyed doing it and think I might move more into drop points after this

Looks really nice, and I think a bit of bronze makes a welcome change from brass, lovely as brass is.
