i havent been to one of these for years, and today i went to two. one in bexhill and one in pevensey, and got some scissors that i thought were Whitley & Son Tailors shears but aren't and i need an ID. they say:
S95
CK
(something i cant read) MAKE

i will get a pic later.
they cost me £1.50 so cant turn out too bad :D
also got a little axe (you get some funny looks wandering around a bootfair with an axe, especially when your 15 ;) )

while at the pevensey one i saw a guy with his dauter wandering along with a walking stick i liked the look of. when questioned by his daughter "why have you got that?" he explained how he was going to cut it up and make another sword-stick..... own up who was it!?! :D :D :D :D

i've went to the pevensey boot fair the other week, didn't find it very good to be honest, the one at cophall roundanout just outside polegate is brilliant one though, you should check it out sometime, always come away with more tools than i need :)

yeah the one on cophall roundabout is HUGE, me and tj have got some good stuf there. lately i got a drawknife for £2, spoke shave for 50p and an old one man cross cut logging saw for £5:). there is a good one at lower dicker which isn't big but usualy has a few good old tool sellers, though this is probably a bit out of your way.

there is a fair amount of luck in bootfairs. some days you can get tones of stuff, some you get nothing. sometimes its the small quiet ones you pick up the best bargains.

have fun
