The jaws on those do look rather good, if somewhat limited in their opening arc.

I'm not sure that they're necessarily an example of American craftsmanship though - I thought most of Gerber's multitools were made abroad, principally China.

You can extend the jaws to the maximum width.

14 years ago it’s likely that one probably was US made. I don’t know for sure, but they have their factory in Portland, Oregon.
