I seem to have completely confused myself and need help or just a recommendation. I am looking for a 12v on demand pump. It needs to lift water 8ft to a for a connection to a garden tap which will be connected to a 40 ft hose. I would like the draw to be 100w or less. Can anyone recommend me a decent pump. Cheers in advance.

Cheers I had this one on a list but couldn’t work out if it would lift the water 8ft. I’ll have another look.

lift or push (head)?

There is quite a difference. Most pumps will struggle to lift that far (although crosslandkelly has linked to a range that will cope with 12ft).

I have a whale submersible pump (available from caravan suppliers) which I have used to lift water from my well to fill up water butts but I am not sure that has ever pumped much above four feet, or maybe six at max.
