Last night the clock on my Landy ticked over to 120,000 miles :biggthump

I know it's got a long way to go to get up with some vehicles but hey, it's still a fair few.

In truth the engine hasn't done all of this because it was replaced about 10 years ago, so that bit's only a youngster at about 60K. But the rest of it has.

It's a 1986 Land Rover 110. It's had about 4 changes in colour which may be the reason the paintwork is so good - no weather can get through :super:

Just thought I'd share

Cheers

ex MOD, is it?

I've read that in the army, the general rule is:
if it moves, salute it;
if it doesn't move, paint it.

Keith.

No, this a combination of blue and white, not green and black.

Currently it's solid white. Not very natural looking I know but there you go.

Congrats Mark, its nice when they're going well!

Just checked and my Disco is showing 133,000 and the Series 3 has done 70,000 (but the mileometer reads low on that 'cos it's on bigger tyres). Daren't work out how much fuel those milages equate to!

OK Dave, I'll do tha math. 109 Stage 1, V8. Let's assume an average MPG of 15. She's done a shade over 89,000. That works out at nearly 6000 gallons consumed (over 22 years mind you). Convert to litres we get 26,700 litres. Now the really painful part - convert this to 2004 fuel prices (80p/l) and we have ...

£21,360! :yikes:
