10x50 binos at Morrisons

When I was queueing up to buy petrol this morning I noticed they were selling some 10x50 binos for £4.99

The glass is probably carp but has anyone tried a set ?

I thought they might be okay for chucking in the boot.

Haven't tried them but if you gas-up regularly at Morrisons keep an eye out for these. Cracking little 3 led x 3 AAA torch; abt 3.99 on their forecourt offers about this time of year. Handy to keep in the door-pocket.

Could any of you guys who are up on optics let us know of a cheap pair of bins?
I could do with a small compact set but dont have a lot of cash to spend as i am sure is the case for a few of us out there.
A what to look for in features and magnification etc would be great. Just for use when walking the dog or out and about in the woods.
