    blue light is sometimes used as it penetrates mist/fog better than other filters (like some cars have ice blue headlights) the green is sometimes used when reading a map as red makis it impossable to see certain features (particularly contours)

    if you can get any steri-strips(pater stitches) i have found them to be useful in keeping a deeper cut closed untill you can get to better kit/better trained people plus they take up no room at all

    what age range is your college? it could be argued that they have been doing this for years with university burserys (i know i am just starting one with the RAF, and i "signed up" and did the selection (full OASC) for that aged 15) and a bit of personal opinion but wouldn't service help...
