    Birds nest?

    Can anyone come up with any ideas on what bird would make a nest like this on the ground? I spotted it amongst a small stand of Norway spuce that was in a smallish unused grazing paddock. I couldn't say for sure whether it was still in use or not. I don't know whether its relevant or not but...

    Buzzards

    Close to where I live I would guess there are 4 maybe 5 pairs of Buzzards, all within a couple of miles. Has anyone else noticed an increase of the Buzzard population nationally or could it be just a local thing? Brian

    Do any of you see any snakes on your travels in the UK? My usual area for walking/exploring is known for Adders :eek: I usually see them on hot summers days warming themselves on a patch of sandy ground, usually by rabbit warrens. Yesterday I had my first sighting of a Grass snake (I think?)...
