    Kukri for Bushcraft use ?

I've used khukris for camping since the mid 90's, truly a muti-use tool! Never cared for hatchets or axes. I do like the looks of Origin Knives Khukri, out of O1 steel AND it's a one man shop in the UK.

    Carved a catapult

It was the first time I had tried drying wood that way myself. Saw it on another video and decided to give it a go, it really worked out great!

    Carved a catapult

Used a green piece of local hardwood, dried it in the microwave. Super hard stuff but I'm really happy with the results!

A block for sharpening a Tracker style blade

I enjoy using the design, it's my favorite. However, if you had asked me back in 2018 I would have called it a movie prop and impractical at best. In mid 2018 I ran across the Tracker Action thread on BCUSA, there were folks on there that I respected. I took the time to read the entire...

A block for sharpening a Tracker style blade

The Tracker style blade has a quarter round feature, which can be challenging to sharpen. I just posted this video on making a sharpening block that works well the the style. Very simple to build and you probably have the scraps lying around!

    Some local flavor

Here in the mountains of Costa Rica these Land cruisers are very very popular. They are still used to get up and down the mountain trails hauling coffee and people. I have seen a bunch in our town and ridden in a few, I love the sideways back seats!

    Friction fire fun

I have used Pochote before with good results. The biggest problem here is that it's all new, so many many new! Lol

    Friction fire fun

This evening I harvested a local hardwood, I have no idea the name. It turned into a great one stick fire! I used it for the bow, spindle, board and tinder.

    Some carving/knife practice

Thank you! My options are a bit limited here in Costa Rica but I do have some clear poly that I might try.

    Some carving/knife practice

First time attempting to carve a snake, then did some ornamental work and turned into a tri-stick farther down. Mostly this was done to get practice with my knife, using it in different grips and angles. I had a bunch of fun with this project! From harvest to final finish the only tool that...
