I use bepantham too. But many people have a bad reaction to it. It's formulae has also changed over the years. My ex is a well known tattoo artist and I used to work in her shop.

All dry shaped. Wasn't hard at all. I made it a snug fit as I thought it would soften and losen up over time. Its 3mm so pretty heavy duty. Im sure it will be fine. The laplander length and curved shape will help it stay in there too.

There's a few bits I don't like.
I didn't groove out the leather for the stitches so they're not flush.
The holes were too close together for the size of thread so they look squashed together.
The black stitch doesn't look great on a light tan leather.

I spent a couple of months in the Yukon Territory last year. Canoeing the river and living in the bush.
So close to the arctic circle, all you really need is a laplander and a Gransfors Wildlife hatchet. Perfect combo.

They're made so a Crusader water bottle can fit inside them.. And you often wear them on your webbing belt. The kidney shape 'I think' is more comfortable than round.

I prefer hanging pots on an adjustable chain.. Then you can control your cooking temperature or keep a big pot of water hot ready for brews. It depends a lot on how many people are at your camp and how long you're staying there.
The hoop that holds the axe is fairy snug and I made it 2" wide to give it more support.. I made the hoop JUST big enough to get the wide end of the axe handle into as well.
I've been wearing it half the day to test it and it hasn't even slipped down the hoop, let alone fallen out.
