I used to hate Apple and the way you were tied into them and their products. I tried several Android phones and watched my smug faced Iphone loving wife smiling at me when my Android phones kept crashing or stalling. I eventually gave way and got an Iphone 4S and have not looked back since. They...
I eventualy bought the Alpkit SkyeHigh 800, long version. Pleasantly suprised at the size or maybe I have lost weight :lmao:. Quality of Alpkit gear never ceases to amaze me for the price. Certainly worth considering for anyone looking for a larger down bag.

I was wondering if I could pick the brains of the good folk on this forum :).
I am looking for a down sleeping bag with a 3 season rating. I am particularly looking for down for its space advantage when packing away in a rucksack. My problem is that I am manly/cuddly sized (lardass )...
Have you tried these peanut lighters. Tiny petrol lighter but have an O ring seal on them which stops the evaporation of fuel. I love the little things.

Hi Folks
I would like to pick your brains if I may :). I want to make a fitted ground sheet for a polish army Laavu/tent. I am just wondering if anyone has experiencce in putting eyelets on tarps/groundsheets. I have been looking at some of the plastic ones, as in the link below, and wondered...
These look like a great find. Does anyone know where I can get a pair (1 tent) from. I have looked on Ebay with no luck. Any info would be appreciated.

You're right about finding the right one to fit. I loved the sabre45 it was just to short for me and never keen on some of the flashy coloured sacks from a lot of the big names.

I don't like to say in case the missus looks over my shoulder , it weren't cheap though . Have a look on the Kifaru site. This one is last years model which they are discounting at the mo. Its all the extra's you end up adding on though that costs. I tried many bags but at 6'3" and built...
Just a few pics and an initial impression rather than a review. After a few hours playing with this bag, loading it with various bits and pieces and adding and taking off pockets and pod I have decided I like it :) . Reassuringly built I believe this bag, after long searches and too much money...
Just wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of a good seller for Victorinox. I had a Vic Pioneer recently and was unsure as to wether it was genuine or not so gave it to a friend at work who wasn't bothered either way. I am after a Red alox pioneer but they seem as rare as rocking...
Typical  . Like buses if you wait long enough 3 come along together. Came home today and postie had delivered my K+M matchcase. What a tactile and wonderful thing it is. I know matches are old news these days but I find something traditional about them and now I have the perfect way to...
Cheers fella's but I have a mind for one of the K+M ones :) . You know what its like when your mind is made up :D . I wont be happy 'til I have one  .
Cheers Andy
