Easter Overnighter | Wild camping in the woods.

It's a Porlex Mini grinder. Thanks Tony. I did actually try to insert the video instead of just a link, but I posted this using my mobile phone, and the video embedding wouldn't work.

Easter Overnighter | Wild camping in the woods.

Hey folks. My buddy Matt and I camped in the woods over Easter. We enjoyed wild rabbit cooked over the fire, bannock, and a night under the tarp with the wildlife and nature. Hope you get a couple minutes to check out this little video. All the best, Donny. http://youtu.be/StfHobKRxjU

Ah, nice couple pics there. I was in the woods today, for a brew, but didn't think to tap a birch. I guess another trip is required! :)

    Out and About

So I love to watch back my videos and relive the places I've been and the things I've done over the past few years. It get me pumped up and eager to plan more hikes, trips and activities. This is the time of year when we're ready to say goodbye to winter and start planning lots of trips for...

    Two nights on Dartmoor

The views are fantastic!! Great photos! Well done, both of you, for getting out there for that trip. I must go there someday. I had trouble last year in the peak district, with my coleman F1 lantern...it was -3C and the thing just barely stayed alight. Was useless! It only worked when back home...

    Our Woodland Shelter

That is just amazing John!! We need some tables at ours still...ones we can stand up at, that is. Super mate. That's a real shame man. Each time we visit ours we wonder if it's still going to be there. One day I'm sure it will be destroyed...or the forestry commission chop down the woods...

    Our Woodland Shelter

We visit maybe once a month. Our next plan...maybe more thatching. We have talked about a teepee type build opposite too. It's in a public woodland. We picked a spot off the beaten track, and found the location as we like exploring and practicing bushcraft, so often hunt around woodlands for...

    Our Woodland Shelter

I think that would be a great idea! As I usually have a huuuuge backpack full of gear with each visit...and it's quite a trek through the woods :D ....Will think about this one ;) thanks!

    Our Woodland Shelter

Thanks everyone, for your kind comments! :D Well, there's a nice challenge for you! ;) Northampton sure is a big place! The wood is a 30-40 minute drive from where I live too...and then the shelter is a good 15-20 minute walk. Maybe there's some clues here and there though...;)

    Introducing Bushcraft to SWMBO

Looks like a great day out in the woods! Nice one! Thanks for sharing.

    Our Woodland Shelter

In May 2013 we had an idea to build a woodland shelter, as a base to practice bushcraft. We found a great secluded woodland which we'd visited a few times before and began the build. The design was just improvised on the day, and it turned out to be quite a large shelter. Over the months we...

I love that backwater near Nassington, it has a nice little step down in the river half way down if I remember rightly, good fun!

Canoe & Bushcraft at Medieval Wadenhoe.

Hey folks, On Sunday me & my buddy Matt went to Wadenhoe on the River Nene to embark on a journey we did exactly one year ago to the day. We took the canoe and some kit, including a tarp & a Polish army lavvu, for a paddle and a day in the woods. We set up a day camp, made a cooking area...
