    Cheap and easy arrowheads

    When I was a kid (going through the Tarzan/Red Indian phase... :) ), we used to make arrows like this.... Choose straight rowan shoots for the shaft...peel and harden over a fire... The bow was usually made from juniper or a spruce branch... Arrowheads were made from 2" nails forged...

    Just a thought... A mere 30-45 minutes train ride from Helsinki (and approx. 5 euros ow) there`s a truly excellent Bushcraft wonderland...the Meiko Wilderness area in Kirkkonummi. Several lakes, more or less pristine forest, fishing, wildlife...and of course...making your own tent-sauna...
