    Holiday weekend camp, Inwood, Hampshire

Been to a few of the "Unplugged" sites. They're OK, but have always been consistent in having appalling firewood at high prices, and shed loads of ticks. Plenty of room generally, and helpful enough people running them on site.

    Trip Report Part 4: Classic Backpacking 2/13/16 - 2/14/16

You are a crazy bugger. Really enjoying this. I'd be tempted to wrap myself in the tarp before my initial sleep. Anything to get one step ahead must be a significant advantage under those conditions. I'd be looking for reflective wall, full body length fire and eliminating all wind chill. I am a...

    Foldng Crossbow

Tree Snake in Afrikaans, I believe. The language flits between cool and ridiculous.

    Booze

I'm a fairly inexperienced whisky drinker, but have developed a real fondness for it and it's become my spirit. I have thoroughly enjoyed The Singleton, Aberlour and Dalwhinnie. I'd probably want more than 3oz though!

    pigeon ideas

Whatever you do, they're best rare, and give them time to relax after cooking. Pigeon is so underrated it's ridiculous.

    cotton buds with paper stems?

I've found in the past that the cheaper brands are still manufactured this way. A quick Google of "cotton buds" throws these up. There appear to be Options out there. http://www.beautyexpress.co.uk/mobile/paper-shaft-cotton-buds-pack-of-200/

    Goose recipes please folks....

I've not got a recipe for you, as such, but I like the following. Stuff it with citrus fruit. Rub with a thin coat of oil and a decent salt, such as Maldon. Stand on a metal trivet, or a bed of celery in a roasting pan and pour in a pint of cider. Improvise a lid with another roasting tin and...

A successful hike or a dismal failure?

You have the mature attitude in this one. I'd feel like I'd not achieved my goal, but I suspect that that's a personality flaw on my part there. It's a formidable climb after a fair bit of hiking.

    A Walk Around Cannock Chase

Thanks for writing all that up. The berries still looked good in your image. Were they just a bit past it?

Really interesting. Cheers. I find bees magical! If you're inundated with requests, don't worry, but I'd be very keen to try your honey.

    Country File

It takes a strong man to stick to his convictions when the money that must be producing is being waved about. Maybe the type of man who wouldn't really notice it. Obviously not in this case? Or.......maybe he's prioritising the injection of jobs it'll bring to an area that quite frankly is...
