anyone know of a cosy cottage or lodge in the middle of nowhere?

Problem is I'm looking for something a bit different to what most offer- ie i don't want to be on a teepee campsite, want to be on my own

struggling any ideas for alternative options for middle of nowhere places/types of places to stay?

Looking for somewhere to go for a quirky and quiet get away for a couple of nights. Trying to find somewhere that is really remote. Ideally in Wales. If anyone know of anyhwere that hires tipis please let me know Thanks Joe

looking for a 4 mile ish walk, then a nice spot to camp up at with noone around, nice scenery and quiet etc any ideas of routes?

okay cheers any ideas as to nice hike (few k), with maybe a little stream/river to camp up by in the beacons?

any other experience of how strict the area is? or on how busy the official area gets?

that looks like the kind of place i want to go. Although I fancy a nice walk to get there first. How big an area cano you camp in ie would it be likely that other campers would be around?

Hi guys I'm hoping to go for a wild camp on the weekend, just saturday night probably. Will hopefully find a couple of hour walk from the road, camp up somewhere with a nice sunset with noone else around! Any ideas as to locations (maybe with a water hole?), suggestions etc... thank...

thanks for all the advice guys, much appreciated I have loved my meindls, had them for 2/3 years and had a fair amount of use out of them- so guess thats not too bad... they have been pretty waterproof, but would be interested how they compare to other 'mid' boots in that respect I have dodgy...

hi i love a bit of scrambling/walking and generally doing outdoors stuff my current boots - meindl mid magic gtx have been great - waterproof, providing ankle support (and yet not high boots)- they are overy worn now and i need a new pair they need to be light, comfortable, waterproof...
