I think there may be a couple of clips on Youtube ..... Both show the river carrying a lot of water , its only like that after heavy rain ....

The lower part below the tidal reach is quite short but a nice paddle into the harbour . There is a Canoe hire place on the weir that marks the tidal reach but upwards of there the Esk becomes quite shallow in parts , I suspect you would spend a lot of time wading ……,

Welcome Dave I'm originally from round that area , Stalybridge , just down the road , loads of great locations around Oldham and Saddleworth area ..... You must be near Dovestones Reservoir ( gets busy with chavs on hot days ) and the moors around there ? .... From there you can get over the...

I had it recently after working frontline through the pandemic and managing to keep clear ...... It was definitely more than a cold :(:depressed::yuck::***:
