As before. I will place a couple two way radios up in/near/around the car parking area, for anyone that needs to notify us of their arrival, or needs a hand with kit, or someone to come meet them, to show the way to the site. If anyone has their own two ways/walkies then we will be operating on...

Despite my comment on the FB page, I finally managed to convince youtube that uploading a video, was not the same as removing it (useless *#^*), so here it is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xaOCQC5xgqQ

Don't listen to a word he says. He won't bring you anything back...well, anything nice. I think it's about time we had a chip in for Ivan, so he can buy his own damn camera, or at least a couple batteries and SD cards, to use in mine. I have important things to document on these meets/outings...

Took me a while to pick up on that statement :) Bucephalas (aka Bucephalus), being A the G's horse, but also meaning ox-head (good job Ivan didn't find one of those ay?). Also, regards "normal nutters", there are no such folk at our meets...we are all nutters, and not one of us could possibly...

Safety on Dartmoor if you have never been before.

I regularly drink from a fresh water source on the moors, without any boiling or sterilizing. True it's pretty near the edge of the moor, but it is used to supply several cottages (also on the edge of the moor). Sheep/cow/pony waste, isn't normally a problem, as it's never normally concentrated...

Safety on Dartmoor if you have never been before.

Depends how close you can get to the source, but yeah, better safe than sorry :)

Safety on Dartmoor if you have never been before.

Obviously you'll be able to tell if there is anything particularly odd with the water (pink or green colour, algae floating on it, etc), so long as there isn't any debris floating in it, you'll be perfectly fine mate :) Depending on how far you want to walk, it's worth checking out some of the...

Safety on Dartmoor if you have never been before.

Easiest, safest way, is to take a pack or sterilizing tablets, like aquaclear tabs, or similar. If you take a couple of litre bottles with you, you can drink one, then fill it in a stream, pop a steri tab in, and drink from the other while it does it's magic :). You could use fancy sterilizing...

Update on that place in "Comprehensible", aparently it's next to "Nothing" Prehensile you say? Does that mean I can use it as a lintle over a door? :p
