Scouts have a charter?

I've done Bently Copse in October, and yes, it's pretty good. Having the whole site to yourself is a massive bonus as well. We had our autumn Group camp about 16 miles to the west of there, earlier this month, on a greefield site surrounded by scrub and woodland... brilliant Scouty territory!

How about taking (or making new ones as you go - as big as you like) boards and a set of pieces to play Nine (or 3, 5, 6 or 12) Mans Morris, Fox & Geese and some of the smaller Tafl games? These are simple games needing simple boards and pieces, with rules that are easy to pick up, but still...
