    Food Service Charges

Yup, its totally wrong if serving staff need tips to make their pay worthwhile. They should get a living wage, and we should be happy to pay prices which support that. A tip is to reward someone who has tried that bit harder, and I tip often, but have no qualms about not doing so if service is...

    Helly Hansen fibre pile jacket

Yeah but they’re both excellent, mine gets worn at home in the depths of snowy cold winter, the thinner ones are great hill wear.

    Helly Hansen fibre pile jacket

I still have a double thickness HH with the thumb loops on sleeves, superb warm bit of kit. The single pile jackets are also classic, they are purely insulation, not windproof at all but excellent kit, lots of warmth for weight. Dry very fast in a breeze too. Used as intended still a bomb proof...

    Todays find

Even more craziness.........the fuel cap says Primus on both sides, but the pressure release key says British on o e side and Burmos the other side. Whats going on ? Is it a Primus or a Burmos ?. Good news is the bucket test seems to show its holding pressure so will try firing it up at some point.

    Todays find

The plot thickens........ Something rattling round in the tank, turns out to be this........looks like an old lead washer ? Where from ? Tried to take out the NRV but cannot seem to seat the tool on it, mine seems to be 5 mm slot width but the valve looks a bit wider, is that possible ?
