That's nice thing is if I was going to spend that I'd be really tempted with a dropper post. This one is a 29er and I find the tyre capacity is so huge I don't find it that much of an issue, not compared to my road bike anyway :)
I'm slowly building my collection of Alpkit luggage, I'm currently setup for extended days but really need the large tail pouch they do if I want to consider an overnighter without taking a rucksack. This is my current setup https://goo.gl/photos/k7Fk9upEPdjnsiJx6
Had about 12 bikes now of all sorts, I loved my Bandit and the ZZR100 for a fully faired road bike but none of them have been a patch on my Tiger 800 in terms of comfort and versatility.
Tony and myself camped out a little while ago in a thunderstorm under a large tarp with a small fire, cracking everything watching and listening to the thunder and lightening.

The F650 is really capable and a lot of people are taking them all over the world now on some serious off road trails. I've currently got a Tiger 800 which is probably bigger than you need but I'm totally in love with it, haven't had a chance to take it off road properly yet though. The KTMs do...
I love my Tilley waxed hat for the winter but that's probably not a lot of help for you. Have you tried the walking boot proofer? If it will stick to the hat it should be much better than the fabric clothing proofer for what you need, you'll probably need to wash the wax off of the hat though.
Yeah I remember several years back being in Brecon in horizontal rain. We were out all day and the rain just didn't let off, I'm pretty sure we all got blown over at some point that day, got back thoroughly knackered and all smiling. Tried popping into a pub to pick up a bottle of wine and they...
I was out again this morning in it, I did feel quite guilty making an old couple jump quite a lot as they couldn't see past their torch light and I didn't have mine on.
is there something strangely therapeutic about walking in the woods at night in torrential rain wearing decent kit and knowing you're completely dry?
Just got back in from a nice walk with the dog and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I think a lot of it comes down to what you're going to use it for. I stopped carrying the SAK because I had the Wave but frequently begrudge the weight of it so it's normally around the house rather than in use. Saying that I always goes with when on the motorbike or when cycling and get's used...
I really like my Wave. If you're going lighter weight that are other alternatives but if that's not an issue they are useful. Leatherman's warranty is also excellent. Sent a pair back a few year ago as mine had various screwdriver bits etc broken. I had a reply back that they weren't making mine...
So 17 voters. According to Tristan Gooley's website, http://www.naturalnavigator.com/books-and-library, he has published the following books:
- How to read water
- The walker's guide to outdoor clues and signs
- The lost art of reading nature's signs
- The natural navigator
- How to connect with...
OK a quick bit of research as I've been deliberately not looking for a while to avoid temptation:

Depending on your budget there are some really nice down duvets that pack down tiny, been very tempted myself.
