    New Lens, so excited!

Hi Guys, i don't normally post much on the photos thread. For the last 10 years i've been using an old sigma 50-500 (pre os) and a 1980s nikon 300m 2.8. Never been able to get super sharp images, no mater how hard i tried. Tripod, different settings, all sorts. Anyway, just traded them in and...

Hi All, I am selling my 5.11 Cable Hiker Boots in coyote, size 10 (Euro44). They've only been worn 3 time, so are in mint condition. Just don't seem to be able to get on with them. Shame, as they are a lovely warm weather boot. Looking for £55 inc postage and pp fees.

Totally agree. i have the green check lumberjack shirt version of this and it is totally amazing. although next time i'd probably go for the extra long as i like shirts that tuck in and stay there.

The Ultimate "What is this Fungi?" thread.

Hahaha, Mares Tail. It's rife on the fungi forums this time every year. Yup, it is a sod to get rid of. But in eastern Europe it is tinctured and used as a hair restorer (contains high levels of slicates apparently), but too late for me :p .

    Vango Nevis 100 Tent ?

I still have an old vango odyssey micro 2. It's design was very similar to the Hillberg Akto. Mine is still going strong and it withstood some pretty serious welsh weather and even a car driving over it (prat tryng to do handbrake turns in the field i was camping in). Not sure if the modern ones...

    Dandelion root coffee

Hmm, wasn't keen on dandelion coffee. tried it a few times, but not to my taste. However, currently have a batch of Dandelion Honey on the stove, flower petals (about 400), steeped in water and lemon, then the liquid boiled down with sugar. Got another hr to go, but it's looking great.

Birch Sap Tapping- To Seal, or not to Seal?

From my experience, i always prefer to trim a small brach back to a suitable union (as if i were pruning the tree), If done right, the pruning cut will allow the sap to be released then heal up naturally. I find that boring holes into a tree drastically increases the risk of infection, even with...
