It was made by a company called Snowsled and was supposed to be a lot heavier duty but because the runners were blown and hollow they wore through very quickly. I wasn't impressed. The Toboggans, being flat, spread any wear much more evenly which for the mixed surfaces we move on is useful...

Interesting that the European tradition is skis while the Americas used snowshoes. There is also the regional differences between reindeer and dog sledding. I have never learned to ski and am rather suspicious of them. Far too many images in my head of people returning from skiing holidays...

Following the thread we have added blood coagulating products to all our first aid kits now.

It is, isn't it? Right up to the point of getting an order confirmation I was expecting it to wimp out at some point but the only thing it wouldn't do is let me apply for a loyalty card. ( Which might have been useful to keep an order history if we go again next year.)
