good effort Stuart and there was you thinking you would have a nice quiet peaceful weekend without the crazy gang keeping you up till 6am lol, you should have invited the fox into the tipi for a brew and then set your huge deadfall trap for the country brigade coming through lol
Nice piece of work on that paddle Lloyd, although you wouldnt want those dodgy Horse loving Peterlee boys using a work of art like that, you know, they would probably just use it as a toothpick lol
Oh bad news Rich, just did a quick bit of research on backpackinglight.com in the states and they are saying its been discontinued, will post more when i find out if this is true, but all the usual outlets that sell it in the states are out of it too...
Yeah do that Rich, give me a shout if you find a stockist, it really is top drawer and id hate to run out. If it comes to it, i might just get some sent over from the states..
I stocked up last year Rich, but i believe expedition foods still sell it for £19.95 and sometimes amazon stock it.

i have the bergans 6-8 man tipi and use a frontier stove with mine, set up is pretty much like Rich tipi, except i have wrapped fire tape rated up to 550 c temp round two of the sections of flue, so it gives me scope to move the stove around the tent, after a full weekend of the stove running...
Thanks Ross, that was a well written and interesting blog to read, you did the right thing not going for the summit, its worth doing these trips cause it stops you from getting summit fever and teaches you its ok to go back down without summiting, the mountain will still be there for another...
Yeah well happy, Woodlore were as good as their word Gaz and the replacement Bergans Tipi arrived this morning, the new mosh pit is up and running again lol
Im still coming, should be there mid afternoon on the Friday, along with Ross and Jason, wont be able to miss us, we will be in the big green tipi with the stove smoking away and the brews on :coffee:.

Yep, thats the one, thanks for the link Simon. Works out at £153 with postage, was looking for a 3mm bushcraft knife for finer work as my current SWC knife is a tad heavy for my purposes just now ( not that im getting rid of it lol ) so looking forward to using this nice little knife, just a...
Yeah Chris, still planning to do the end to end, but pulled out last year feeling guilty with the family as my wee boy was just 2 years old at the time, so hopefully he will be old enough to understand what im doing and that i will be gone for only a wee while then i can get it sorted, so i...
Hi Elen, best thing for your feet is a cream called Hydropel, i hiked for years and tried everything but nothing ever worked, my feet were always a mess during the walks with blisters etc, then one day i was on a ultralight backpacking site in the states and all these experienced hikers were...
Ordered a new knife from Bushcraft Northwest in the States last night and got the normal automated email purchase response from them, but tonight i received a email from the guy who runs the company sent from his own I phone telling me that he had upgraded my postage to express delivery free of...
