The LandRover itch.. Do I scratch it?

D2 TD5 offers a lot of value for money if you find the right one. Almost as capable as a defender, but with much more comfort etc. Td5 has a good bit more power than the 300tdi for every day use, with the sacrifice if maybe having a few more potential issues....but it's also tunable. The main...

    Tactical or traditional?

Have you considered a drop leg style? I have a maxpedition thermite, and it's perfect for wandering and a brew. Also takes my usual brew kit (titanium cup, with gas cylinder and burner etc stored inside or collapsible stove etc) no problem, with room to spare and some extra pockets for stuff, be...

    Tactical or traditional?

As said, I've never actually seen mentioned where their gear is manufactured, but the Karrimor SF company is british, and a separate entity from the usual Karrimor name.

    Biker Basics

Be aware....if you get on one, chances are you're quickly going to be addicted lol As a few others have pointed out, CBT allows you to ride a 125, but in honesty I wouldnt bother with buying one and go through your full test instead. 125's are no cheaper than buying bigger second hand bikes...

    Tactical or traditional?

I have a slight mixture of both I'd say. I carry a Rush 24 every day to work etc as my edc bag, well build backpack and one of my main reasoning behind its purchase was the ability to compartmentalise everything, which is perfectly suited to what i need, although im not a fan of molle on a pack...

    Royal Marine Arctic Bergen

In honestly, I've no idea yet as I've never carried it lol one of the repairs needed is reattaching the D-ring that one of the straps goes onto. Though, I imagine it maybe be worth going with a different waist belt atleast lol

    Royal Marine Arctic Bergen

This old bargen has been sitting at the back of my old mans shed for the past 20 years or so, covered in spiders and unloved. I thought I would dig it out and give it a clean up. Tried to find info on it etc but google didnt come up with much, most of the hits were actually from this forum...

    Calling the carvers etc...

Thanks for the replies. It's about 12ft long, trunk is roughly 15 inch diameter. I can get my hands on a chainsaw to section it up. As for what I'd like to do...having no experience I'd like to start with smaller stuff like spoons, bowls etc. Was going to try keep a decentish length of it...

    Calling the carvers etc...

Basically I'm after some advice, and ideas lol I've never really done anything with unprocessed wood...but wanting to learn. There is a failed beech tree just next to my house...limb etc have been stripped off but there's still 12ft or so of tree left laying there. What's best things to do...

Price drop: Karrimor SF Sabre 75 + pouches and accessories

Definitely interested, as it's something I've been looking at, especially with the other additions. Only thing I will say (and I respect that yours has had little or no use) is that I quickly searched and got everything above at around £330 new, and that was without searching too deeply for best...

    50 gallon oil drum....

Ive mauled quite a few oil drums with a grinder (for last minute bbq parties etc) and ive only ever made sure theyre empty and cut straight into it with no fire or problems. Take much more care when it comes to gas bottles ofcourse lol
