Yes I saw that video too. Interesting to see what the specs are. In the brief bit that I could see, the handle looked a decent shape.

Nice! Since my original post, I too am the proud owner of a M4 in M390 steel. Micarta handle feels amazing in a number of different grips. I love it! Not tried to sharpen it yet but I understand due the steel hardness it could take a while.

Anyone have one they are willing to part with?

Thanks all for the advice and alternatives. Yes they do seem to get very good reviews and are very well priced. Would the M390 steel be a tricky one to maintain for a novice sharpener?
