    An important one for me!

Thanks everyone - we did a pitstop on the way back at Decathlon and now have Pink walking boots and rucksack.... Joy! LOL! She is a good kid who loves the outdoors (as I type she is making a new home for the Woodlice she found under a rock in the orchard.) Good times :)

Vango Talas !00 tent - help?

Yeah, I'm kinda with you there on the height thing. I have a Coleman 2 man (read 1 man) tent which I love but I am trying to shave pack weight. The Coleman is 2.2kg. I would happily Bivvy and Tarp all the time, but having recently had someone go through my kit whilst off for a shower its put me...

    An important one for me!

Last October we adopted a little girl and today for the first time I took her to the Peaks for a little bit of outdoors goodness. Nothing major just a ramble into the woods, a bacon butty and then little one having to use a compass to find the trail again. She also found a fallen birch and...

So I Did it - Solo Overnighter (Dull report & Pics!)

Thanks for all the continued support chaps! I usually get up at 550am everyday regardless - so quite a shock when I looked at my watch. I think i was calm because I have wandered here lots over the years and camped here before on many occasions with friends, so it all felt familiar. Next one...

So I Did it - Solo Overnighter (Dull report & Pics!)

Yeah, I am looking at more discreet kit for these types of trips! The sad thing was the couple were about 500 ft from the carpark and using a GPS. Haven't got one and doubt I could work one and want one even less now :) I was the muppet who forgot the bacon. It smelt lovely after sitting in...

So I Did it - Solo Overnighter (Dull report & Pics!)

Well, I did it on my own! Firstly, sorry for the poor pics. Weather was touch and go, so left the camera at home and used the phone. I had planned to do my overnighter where I shoot, which is close to home. However, the area was water logged so I headed off to the peak district as there was a...

Hiya, Good point Sir! - Wife has both locations though and I will drop her a text later with a OS ref as always. She also has the insurance on speed dial 1, undertaker speed dial 2 and auction house on speed dial 3 :)
