I reckon a tentepee or bell tent would be spot on for you mate. Have a look on www.proadventure.co.uk I also saw on Facebook not long back that land and wave were selling off some of their bell tents very cheaply, might be worth a visit too.

Well it would seem I’ve found the culprit of my “infestation”. Found a small number of these flying about in the garden and workshop, after some research it seems they favour oak and don’t really cause any damage to wood that has the bark removed. Which means my workshop is somewhat safe (phew!)...

All that work to make a building “air tight” for insulative reasons and then they want to add a vent. When I did mine I remember part of the procedure was to check the flow of exhaust fumes and then open a window. If the draught increased you needed a vent, if not it was fine. I’m sure there...

To search on Instagram it’s best to use hashtags, Facebook is a bit more tricky but maybe try some knife making groups? It’s a shame most of all the really good knifemakers have gone from here, as they had in depth knowledge of the use of the tools which I think is what gave them the edge with...

I am a big fan of a gilet. Often I wear a fleece one on top of a thick flannel shirt for a bit of extra warmth. Have you thought about that as an option?

And I should add that @Broch and I also both live in wales! :-)

+1 for the Robens boulder 2! We have one as a lightweight, single person option (I know it’s an 2 person but it’s perfect for 1 to sprawl out in) and it’s fantastic. For the price I doubt you could find anything else that’s as good really.
