    Kydex sheath bits and bobs?

Made my Foam press today and tried to make sheath mark 1. I think my foam is a bit too stiff and maybe didn't get the 2mm kydex hot enough. 170 for 3 mins in the oven I'm looking at getting a cheap roll mat from mountain warehouse, any other suggestions for foam?

    Elastoplasts

Try some zinc oxide tape, and stretch the wound before you tape. It will need replacing regular, anyway having a roll of it is quite handy. After some thought about the MK 1 "Buckle Loop", (which hasn't let me down so far) I came up with the MK 2 "Buckle Loop Evo" recently which is a bit more compact and quicker to tie but basically does the same thing as the MK 1. "To act as a cord quick release between a guy line and an eyelet...

Yes me too. I'm going to have a go I think. This has shown me what mistakes to avoid that I would have made. I have a blade around can't think what one atm. I re-stacked a Ka-Bar with existing leather and added a couple of bits so it compressed nicely. That was pretty easy as it was just a...

Quench Sea - Portable desalination Device

Yes I saw that when I was searching out water info, like distilled water is ok but has no electrolytes and minerals in it as you would get from tap water. Hopefully this is a good start and the device will improve and become more efficient over time.
