    Internet Movie Knife Database

Not sure if this is the right place to post it but I have been trying to find a reference site for film knives for a while now and have had no luck, so i decided to set one up today, its very limited at the moment, only has half a page about the walking dead, so if any blade enthusiasts spot...

Variation on a Bow saw. My own design

had a go with the saw today, it work better than i expected, it has very slight play in the joint, but less than i was expecting, and to be honest i think its from me being a bit shody when i was making it, i also need a new blade cause i have had this one for a few years now and its getting...

Southey & JonathanD's Epic Knife Test Thread

arent the holes on the front of the grip supposed to allow you to make a spear out of it, maybe you should do some spear type tests, if nothing else that sounds like some fun experimenting, plus if you can come up with some way of making sure you can reptrieve it later you could chuck it into...

if it was plain edged and polished to i'd agree interestingly the lmf appears to have a sharpner built in the sheath too, so if you add a whistle and a firesteel you got pretty much the same package, albeit for a higher price, which makes you wonder how much bear grylls had to do with it, when...

it looks like its based on the lmf 2, if you look everything between the tip of the blade and the holes at the front of the handle seems the same on both, its just the back end, plus the sheaths are similar i think i'd rather pay the extra not to have the bg on it if i was going to buy either

not wanting to defend bear grylls, but i think the orange makes sense, its supposed to be the ultimate survival knife, and in a survival situation losing your knife would be a bad thing, and the bright orange would stand out better if dropped in the woods, i dont think this is what the designers...

Variation on a Bow saw. My own design

sorry had to take the cats to the vets and only just had time to get the pics uploaded, the blade is in the middle, if you look at the last pic, to fold it, the cord is untwisted and comes of the notch at the bottom, but stays on the top bit, the top part of the tee rotates clockwise till the...

Why I shouldnt be left alone

the missus got annoyed at me the other day for opening the new pack of quilted toilet tissue she just bought, and rerolling some of it into an emergency bog roll for my ebc bag, so i didnt tell her that i was busy making a machete while she was at home with the screaming baby and yes soon as i...

Why I shouldnt be left alone

I got bored at the weekend after fixing my car, and found a big bit of steel bar, a couple of grinders, an anvil, a hammer and a big blow torch and it made me wonder what macgyver would do, but then when i hit myself in the eye with a paperclip i thought i'd make a machete instead, its my first...
