Nice one Andy , like the picture mate much better than your last picture taking exercise , the business card gives an indication of size too.
There is no mention of cost or trades........errr, yeah , I was being nosey.
Edit; Sorry ,just seen this post by you...
No your PM came through just fine Nic , everybody's probably in their workshops or enjoying the fine weather. Me I was testing out a little whittler for a customer while out in the sun LOL.
I've been told that no treatment is neccasary.
Then years later I was told that a fine line of super glue around the rim will keep the horn from de-laminating.Your call on if you believe this.
With mine all I did was make sure it was clean inside and fill it with my favourite drinkie.
Nice pics there Jags , how was the piece and quite ;)
Was you at the last Comrie croft meet ? I think I was chatting to you about bikes and trikes around the camp fire ! But never got your name (insert embarrassed smile here).
why take any knife at all ? , you just say 'oi local (your words) cut that for me my good fellow'....jobs a good'n :)
But seriously I would take a mora and a opinol even if it's just to trade.
You up to date with your shots ?
A man with your knowledge Andy would make his own knife over there with what was to hand , or source out the local knife maker and have him make one for you.
Go back next week and if the items are still there offer him even less and tell him he's had the items ? weeks.
After all the items do not owe him much as he probably got them all for nothing in the whole house clearance anyway. He's being greedy.
Cheers Andy , getting better at it bit by bit but have had alot of help from BB members on the way , each knife seems to get better and better. But I do like to test myself every now and then which is what the wee camp eating knife was about.
I recognise that hat .
Nice pics there John , I'll have to do some walkabouts next time I'm there.....with you lot unlike last time. Such a good time I was having I didn't stray more than 100 yards from the fire pit.
How's the toasting fork BTW ?
