I ruined my husband's fish filleting knife, apparently I should not have used it to butcher venison haunches. Ho hum, can anyone advise what I can replace it with that will be the best of best, otherwise I will never hear the end of it! Thanks!
I shall look that up, it may be worth it to silence the complaints. I should also ask what my best butchering knife would be... in fact if he had bought me a good knife to begin with it wouldn't have happened! My first thought was the Benchmade fillet knife but damn it's pricey!

Agree - Just replace it and if he says anything, tell him to shut upThank you for recommendations. I think this was the one I am blamed for ruining. Maybe I just replace it - in secret, and then ask whatever is wrong with it?!

, should quiet (most) of the complaints. Trying for a replacement and pretending he imagined that you did anything to the original really isn’t a good thought. I might though say that now he has a new one, the old one is yours to practice sharpening
Just learn how to sharpen a knife. It is a very useful skill.I ruined my husband's fish filleting knife, apparently I should not have used it to butcher venison haunches.
