To be honest I haven’t weighed it, it’s not crazy heavy as it’s only 13” (ish) top to bottom... I’m tentatively calling it the..... Tomo-hatchet

Well here she is, I finally found the time to indulge myself in a project I’ve wanted to do for some time. 1/4” 80crv2 Verified 56 Rockwell gun blued Micarta scales held on with titanium flared tubes. Anyway I’m to the money shot.

There’s a few options out there to upgrade the scales but realistically why would you buy a knife to mod it straight away, it’s a nice knife straight from the factory already that’s for sure though

This is the second one of these I’ve done this year and I’m sure it won’t...

    2 x 72" bench grinder kit?

https://www.gundogforge.co.uk/belt-grinders This wouldn’t be a bad start and the price compared to a claryx or similar is much more palatable. Luke

Hi, yeah the steel itself is great, limited thicknesses in the U.K. though 3.5mm is thickest I’ve seen so far. It’s a great steel to use and relatively cost effective to buy and like you say goes against the grain of other stainless steels.... in that it’s tool steel tough, it won’t hold an edge...

Here’s a little one I finished last week, I was a little sad to see it go but you can’t keep em all (apparently) I’ve probably only made about 10 of these Puuko’s so far which I’ve named the “Ratatoskr Puuko” After the mischievous squirrel that runs up the world tree In viking mythology...
