Ridden all year round in all weather for the last 10 years or so. Tips: Allow a lot more time - take it easy. Pin lock visors are awesome - they don't mist up. Good tyres. Heated grips. Enjoy it.

How do you remove the old plastic bits? Preferably without breaking them so I can use them as templates.

I wonder if we could get the National Lottery to fund a similar project in York? We could bring some of the experts over, we could train blacksmiths to make the tools and shipwrights to build Viking ships in the Viking capital of England. All we would need would be a building, a forge, and...

BMW GS. I ride an 1150 GSA and it is wonderful. It will do evrything you want. If funds are limited get the 1100. If you are flush go for one of the 1200s. Shaft drive is fantastic. Servicing is reasonable - there are loads of good independents out there.
