    Need some new trousers

http://direct.asda.com/george/mens-trousers/multi-pocket-trousers/G004401191,default,pd.html As an 18 year old with a part-time apprentice position my budget is severely limited, so I've been alternating with two pairs of these for the better part of a year now. To say that these are from...

    Tattooed stag on leather

That is absolutely fantastic. I'm a huge lover of all things tattoo-related anyway, but that is incredible! Very nicely done!

    Mora 2000 facelift

How does something like this effect the use of firesteels? I tend to use the spine of my blades to get a spark but without that hard angle does it still work? Very nicely done!

    Identify this?

I have never heard of a Stinkhorn in my life! Thanks all! I'll steer clear in future :') Jake

    Identify this?

Hello everyone! I found this while out walking yesterday. It felt spongy, fleshy and soft, and I decided to cut it open and it was almost like an orange inside with visible segments. Not certain you'll be able to see the photos, they're linked to Facebook. I'll upload them somewhere else...

    Underground bees?!

I used to love these little guys, but I was stung when a few people at school started throwing rocks at a nest a few years back. That was when I found out I was allergic, and now those pictures gave me the shivers! :')

    Underground bees?!

Aw, now I feel really guilty. :c This is interesting though, I had no idea bees did that. Thanks all for the info! Is there anything to look out for so I don't dig any poor bees up again? There were a few bees flying in the area but I didn't see any holes where they may have been coming...

    Underground bees?!

I was out in the woods last night with my little brother, and as I was digging a shallow fire pit, I noticed a few small bulbs in the soil. They looked a lot like tiny pickled onions, but it was the several bees attached to them that had me running! I've only ever heard of bees making nests in...

    Starting Out Buschcraft

Hello and welcome! I'm in North Yorkshire too, Harrogate based! I'm 18, and looking for similar things to you, I think :) I found Halfords is surprisingly good for tarps and tent pegs, and I got the Gelert Tryfan sleeing bag from Ebay...

    Meeting like-minded people!

I sincerely hoping I'm not working that weekend! That would be incredible! Only a half-hour drive from my front door :) I've seen Dog Soldiers a few times, it's a great film! Luckily I'm not planning on going to an island full of convicts any time soon! I'm feeling loads better about...

    Meeting like-minded people!

Every single one of you is amazing. THIS is what I love about the bushcrafting community - everyone just wants to help each other and get along. It's brilliant. Thank you all so much for your advice!

    Meeting like-minded people!

I love this forum. Every other forum I've ever used has been full of rude people, interested only in talking to other professionals. Every thread on here is just a bunch of people having a laugh. I love this! :'D Well, I sincerely hope someone near Harrogate sees the post! Thanks all for...

    Meeting like-minded people!

I should probably have clarified that, I'm more interested in the security than the social aspect of going with a plus-one! ;) I'd feel a lot safer! Seriously, it's my own nervousness that stops me going solo. I could of course just take the dog, but there's nothing quite like the shared...
