    It was20 years ago today

Yet somehow you were listening to Bach, you had a portable orchestra then? One that followed you around the great outdoors, playing your favourite music that wouldn't damage your ears no matter what volume you played it at.

    Bicycling Touring

Old Specialized Rockhoppers seem to be a (relatively) common choice for touring on an old rigid MTB. The old eighties versions have long chainstays and a solid steel frame. Most older mountain bikes might do you.

    Bicycling Touring

To the person that states that 700cc wheels are the standard for touring, that doesn't matter one jot. Tour on whatever size wheels you like. 26" wheels are actually preferable if you're touring the world by bike as it's the most common size in a lot of places, making it easy to get spares. In...

    Beards?

Goatee here, currently plaited and hangs down to my nipples. Now there's a mental image you don't want. Shaved off the (much shorter) beard that accompanied it the other day, just for a change.

    Forward Planning

Just looking at the still from the youtube video, the wheel looks very small, so you may be best off with a small child's bike, to keep the centre of gravity as low as possible.

is it OK to shave a Lurcher ?

My mother has a bearded collie/standard poodle X, she gets taken to the hairdressers regularly for a cut (the bitch, not my mother), as otherwise she looks more like a small black bear than a dog. She also has a standard poodle, luckily she keeps her fellah from getting him the 'proper' poodle...

    Your dad's old car

From what I've read on another forum, I wouldn't get too hung up on the numbers. It's all based on DVLA data, which has been put onto the system by 'somebodies'. Apparently they tend to put in what's written on the v5, which might be different to the common names you search for, or in some cases...

Will get it out to you tomorrow Tengu. I finished The Road last night, a very interesting read, but the style it was written in made it quite hard going when tired. Biker, yours arrived yesterday, thank you very much. Currently on offer from Tengu is Moby Dick
