Thanks for your reply but I was thinking more along the lines of a hand held torch.

I have a Maglite that takes 2 'D' batteries. As you can imagine its quite heavy and bulky. Can anyone reccomend a torch thats as durable and bright but a bit more compact and portable? Is there another brand of torch in the 'Buschraft' world that people use?

For what its worth I've had a pair of Scarpa leather boots for over 10 years and they are the most comfortable footwear I've ever worn. Still in good condition after all this time too!
