I've just realised I'll be able to have the 1st proper play with my new leaf spring bushcraft knife. Get on!!

RJ, thats good, im thinking of getting hold of some lanny springs (leaf) for some blades, really want to make a good beautiful blade for my dad for his b/day, thats why im trying the damascus this weekend........

the snow is 1" deep now, weather warning for snow in N Yorks........ awesome................lol.....

This knife is a landy leaf spring I'll let you have a bit play with it if you like, landy springs make awesome blade steel

good old english steel, cant beat it.......thats a very kind offer, thank you, bring it along and we can see what happens, i have no tools by the way just the forge hammers and tongs, a bit of sand paper but thats it.........

ahhhhhhhh, bummer mate, you can use my hammock for it if you like, TBH its not long enough for me, so you can use it under your mate, it will do a better job to keep it up and still......

Hi All, I will not be attending this weekend (unless things change). My son and daughter have parties to go to and my wife is doing an extra shift (no she did not like the idea of a 6 and 7 yr old finding there own way lol), so will have to bow out until next one.

Gutted, as it looks like your going to have a cracking time.

Ive been given two small Kurkris, about 7 inch long, if anybody can do anything with them. Ideal for small work etc.

Enjoy all, please keep me in mind for next meet.

No worries mate,....i just been to coop,.....hahaha

i got a bag full of mini peperamis to chop into my couscous ,..a slice of bannock thats lunch sorted,..

some chorizo for tea,.....

and i got black puddin and bacon for breakky,...(enough to share,..)

i need to spend some time rigging an under quilt job with a coupla s/bags i got packed,..i got a roll of parcord should help,...

its on my mind cos i really wanted to trial my new quilt but i reckon it'll pass an hour and be an exercise in how we can manage a situation,...hahahahaha

like i say mate just use my hammock, lay your spare bags onto it then attach it to the under side of your hammock, its got crabs on it so should be easy???????or not.....lol.....
