I'm raising funds for the Woodland Pioneers course I am booked on, so am selling a few items to help with this.
As the course is a while off, not only am I looking to sell things, but I am also looking for trades/swaps. Items wanted include: Quality spoon and/or crook knives (Orford, Westerman), carving axes, adzes, carving chisels and knives, firesteels, left handed carving (kevlar) glove, A decent bushcraft knife & sheath, decent hammock, mosquito net - among others! I know the trade value of the antlers won't cover some of the requested swap items - but I'm very happy to agree on a value for the antler/s and make up the difference.
So - the antlers:
The large one (approx 50cm) was found on the shores of Thirlmere about 3 years ago. It has natural 'deer wear' to the points, but is in brilliant condition; no cracks or breaks.
The white one (approx 28cm) was bought from a charity shop and has a fair amount of wear to the points, and as you can see in the photo - the main point has broken off. I don't know a great deal about antlers so not sure how these things affect quality and integrity but I'm very happy to take further photos and answer any questions you may have.
I'm not too sure what the value of these are but a quick look on eBay leads me to suggest for both antlers, postage & paypal fee's a total of £32. The large antler on it's own: £25, The white antler on it's own: £10 (all prices include postage and paypal fee's) I hope this seems reasonable - and remember what the money will be used for!
